18 May VMAE Announces Virtual Summit – on Virtual Events!
Despite our desire to gather in San Diego for the VMAE | Summer Conference 2020, the public health crisis has caused VMAE (like our members!) to make other plans. Based on tremendous interest by members seeking to construct a framework for delivering virtual educational events, I’m excited to share this news:
VMAE | Summit
Strategy to Implementation: Maximizing the virtual event opportunity
Monday – Friday | June 22-26, 2020 | 1-5 PM Daily EDT
Please hold the dates on your calendar for a virtual experience that will deliver the content you’ve requested, the interactive formats you value to help develop practical solutions, and the social connections that connect you with your professional community!
We’ll have a digital brochure filled with all the details and registration information ready for release within one week but we wanted to ask you now to save time in your schedule. Conference registrants will have the opportunity to participate in all conference sessions PLUS have access for on-demand access to the sessions after the conference has concluded.
The Summit will offer a variety of session and learning formats, chat sessions with our subject matter experts, virtual happy hours, and more – all focused on a timely topic.
The virtual event opportunity
While most of us would have preferred to implement a virtual event on our own decision criteria and timeline, the uncertainty of knowing when face-to-face meetings will be possible has forced a new reality. Now is the time to advance your strategy and implementation planning for delivering virtual learning experiences.
The practical opportunity is to mitigate revenue and reputation risks associated with meeting cancellations. This also represents an opportunity for veterinary medical association executives to affirm the brand promise of their organizations and to serve as learning leaders by maximizing the reach, revenue, and impact of your programs.
The VMAE | Summit will cover strategy elements to implementation considerations AND allow you to participate in a model of a virtual event you can leverage in your own organization. We’ll explore topics such as:
- Virtual event strategy and purpose
- Designing for impact
- Technology requirements and considerations
- Financial models
- Marketing and product development
- Ancillary revenues (exhibits/vendors/sponsors)
Additionally, we are inviting vetted virtual event platform providers who specialize in serving the association market to conduct focused demonstrations.
