America’s Veterinarian Shortage Is Bad for Animals and Humans Alike

In an opinion piece on food safety published by Fortune, Neil Olson – a veterinarian and the dean of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine – states that the “U.S. faces a severe shortage of veterinarians.”  He writes that “Every time Americans eat a cheeseburger without falling ill, they have veterinarians to thank” while noting that “there aren’t enough veterinarians to guarantee the safety of our food supply.  Read more.
