26 Apr Pet Nutrition Alliance Launches New Nutritional Calculator for Dogs and Cats
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 04, 2017 — The Pet Nutrition Alliance (PNA), an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing resources to veterinary healthcare teams to help them position nutrition as essential to optimal pet health, is pleased to announce Spanish and French translations of its popular nutritional calculator for both dogs and cats.
A weight management tool for adult dogs and cats initially launched at the NAVC Conference 2016, the nutritional calculator is a tool designed to aid the veterinary healthcare team in making nutritional assessments and recommendations to help their patients maintain or achieve their healthy weight.
The new version, featuring Spanish and French translations, is the first ever in the veterinary profession to embrace cultural diversity for the betterment of dogs and cats across the globe. These translations leverage PNA’s website’s functionality and further support the global usage of the calculator
“We are extremely excited to launch this new version as it is the only nutritional calculator that has such translations readily available for the healthcare team as well as client educational materials for the pet owner,” said Douglas G. Aspros, DVM, president of the PNA. “This enhancement of the calculator will extend our ability to reach the global veterinary healthcare community and heighten the level of educational content and awareness of weight management and proper nutrition to enhance the lives of dogs and cats worldwide.”
The translations have been made possible through the collaboration of Alliance members – the World Small Animal Veterinary Association and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association.
